The platform
Open Source Barware is a hospitality-focused inventory platform aimed at bars and restaurants that need a practical foundation without enterprise software cost. It is a Resonant-built and operated product—not a one-off marketing site for someone else’s app.
The opportunity
Front-of-house and bar operations often run on spreadsheets, memory, and disconnected tools. Operators need something usable, extensible, and honest about its open-source direction—with a public site and community path that match the product’s seriousness.
What Resonant built
- Product idea, positioning, and hospitality inventory focus
- Brand identity and launch strategy
- Website and platform development
- Open-source direction and public packaging
- Spanish-language capability for broader operator reach
- Community-building direction and industry-facing narrative
- Roadmap thinking for integrations and multi-location systems
Strategic reasoning
Building software is only half the work. The platform needed a clear category story, a trustworthy launch surface, and a path for operators and contributors to engage. Resonant treated OSB as a product company in miniature: identity, product, site, and growth direction together.
Momentum
The project is generating early industry interest and expanding community reach as the hospitality platform continues to grow. We do not publish invented download or revenue figures; traction is described as it is—active development, public presence, and a foundation operators can actually use.
